ORIGINS AND ETYMOLOGY

Astro-English: from Astronese, the word oneirism makes use of the prefix oneiro- which denotes “the phenomena of dreams or dreaming”; conjoining this with the suffix -ism comes to mean a formalised belief that involves experience or phenomena of dreaming.
